Aaden BlueStar

The early Star Trek series had a huge influence on my ideas for future writing. The concepts of interstellar travel and interacting with various civilizations throughout the galaxy kept me spellbound. Then later, the original Star Wars trilogy cemented that fascination. When Harry Potter came along, that was the catalyst that sparked the idea of combining the two concepts.

The result was Aaden BlueStar:, an ordinary boy who discovers he is extraterrestrial.

But the idea of telling the story from Aaden’s point of view came much later ... In the original Blue Star story, Aaden played a minor role, as the young son of a US Senator. When I finally did decide to change that, Aaden took on a personality of his own.

A fascination with environmental issues and the uncertainty of life has also been a huge influence in my writing. On one hand we can play with the idea of being able to control our own destiny through the way we think, with creative visualization and positive thinking. But then, on the other hand, the seemingly negative concept of catastrophic world changes beyond our control seems just as plausible. We even have science backing up the evidence of such events from earliest times in the history of our world.

Now combine this with a little mythology of ancient civilizations such as Atlantis, a race of people that destroyed itself and neighboring countries through the misuse of powerful weaponry. In our modern world we appear to have history repeating itself, with humankind’s latest achie
vements in weapons of mass destruction and genetic engineering.

When we combine all of the above into the mix we now have a world that’s teetering on the verge of self destruction … and a group of extraterrestrial civilizations that are just as intent on helping to save us from ourselves.

That’s the premise for the Aaden BlueStar series, with Aaden discovering he is more than just a boy. Through a freak accident he discovers his innate powers – the same powers that are within all of us human beings. Through Aaden, the reader discovers the possibilities of tapping into those powers … and how those powers can be used for positive or destructive outcomes, depending on the intension of the user.

The overall message of Aaden BlueStar is that we are not puppets at the hand of fate, that we have dormant powers within us that we haven’t even touched yet. Ultimately, we are co-creators of our own destiny through the way we think – our thoughts create our reality!

Okay, you now have two choices – you can simply enjoy this thought-provoking action adventure as Aaden discovers his extra-ordinary powers … or you can join him in his battle to create the kind of world you want to live in.
